Nadir Khashimov’s expressive and charismatic style has made him one of the most accomplished and versatile violinists on the international music scene today. In 2006 at the age of just 16, Mr.Khashimov has won the 2nd prize at the prestigious Paganini Competition in Moscow. After which, he has won major competitions such as Sarasate in Spain, George Enescu in Romania, Washington International in US, Michael Hill in New Zealand, Yankelevitch

in Russia, among others.

 

Regarded by the press as a masterful virtuoso with a powerful and touching tone, Mr.Khashimov has appeared as soloist with orchestras such as the Philadelphia Orchestra, National Orchestra of Russia, Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra, London Symphony Orchestra, Navarra Symphony Orchestra, Czech Republic Orchestra, Monte Carlo Orchestra, National Orchestra of

Uzbekistan, United Nations Orchestra,the Lagrange Symphony Orchestra and the Columbus Symphony Orchestra. Working with such renowned conductors as Vasily Petrenko, Gintaras Rinkevicius, Vladimir Ziva, Kevin Griffiths, Vladimir Spivakov, George del Gobbo and Gábor Takács-Nagy.

 

An active chamber musician, Mr. Khashimov has collaborated with Zakhar Bron, Joseph Silverstein, Daniel Phillips, James Buswell, Ferenz Rados, Pamela Frank, Roberto Diaz, Colin Carr, Jason Vieaux and Ralph Kirshbaum in performances at festivals in Verbier, Bowdoin, Sarasota, Heifetz, La Jolla. While at Verbier, Mr.Khashimov has been awarded the Violin Prize

of the Festival.

 

Mr. Khashimov’s other notable accomplishments include performing all Paganini’s 24 Caprices in a recital and debuts at the Louvre Museum in Paris, Mann Center for the Performing Arts, Carnegie Hall's Stern Auditorium, the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, and the Grand Hall of the Moscow Conservatory.

 

Mr.Khashimov began his studies at the age of seven with his father, Vakhob Khashimov. He went on to study with Sergiu Schwartz and Patricio Cobos at the Columbus State University, and with Pamela Frank and Shmuel Ashkenasi at the Curtis Institute of Music where he received his Bachelor of Music degree.
